Pier 4, Ribersborg

A panoramic film frame at dusk — a calm, glassy sea under a soft pastel sky, the sun a small point low on the horizon at centre, a sandy beach in the foreground crossed by a curving band of dark seaweed, and a long low pier with railings reaching out into the water on the right. The black film rebate with “Kodak Ektar 100” edge markings frames the image.

Ribersborg at sunset. The already very calm Öresund is flat as poured glass because of the 60 second exposure. On a clear evening Copenhagen sits as a low band of light across the water.

A couple walked by on the beach and excused themselves for intruding in the frame. I said no worries, you’re likely not visible because of the long exposure. A few birds were still enough to be captured though.
